The pancreas, liver, and gallbladder are also included. Surgery may be done to remove a tumor, whether cancerous or not, or to repair a damaged body part, such the intestine. It can also be applied to fix issues like hernias. Digestive system issues are screened for and diagnosed via minor surgical procedures.
