Diseases of the digestive system's organs are treated by gastroenterological surgery. The esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and rectum are included in this. The pancreas, liver, and gallbladder are also included. Surgery may be done to remove a tumor, whether cancerous or not, or to repair a damaged body part, such the intestine. It can also be applied to fix issues like hernias. Digestive system issues are screened for and diagnosed via minor surgical procedures.
