Dr. Pavlos Papoulidis is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and a Senior fellow in Blackpool Victoria Hospital. He is a member of British Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery and had a fellowship in European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS), Hellenic Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons, The Cardio-Thoracic network (CTS net) and The Hellenic Society of Trauma. He was a Senior fellow at Royal Wolverhampton Hospital. He also served as an Associate specialist/ Trust grade Specialist Doctor, Cardiothoracics, UHCW. In all of his posts he was performing thoracic mainly (in total 10.5 years: 6.5 years in UK) and occasionally cardiac procedures. His main interest is in robotic surgery, VATS and airway Management/ LVRS and also in pectus repairs and trauma surgery. He completed his online training for robotic surgery and all practical tests (hours). In JCUH he was introduced and performed micro-lobectomies, pectus repairs, radio-guided pulmonary nodules resection and robotic thoracic surgery. As a member of stuff in Royal Brompton Hospital he was exposed to minimal invasive techniques thoracic surgery (VATS lobectomy), bronchoscopy, mediastinoscopy, LASER metastasectomy.
