Dr. Umoke Ifeanyi is a consultant general surgeon at Kubwa general hospital in Abuja Nigeria. He is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons, FWACS. His residency training was in University of Abuja Teaching hospital, UATH, Gwagwalada Abuja Nigeria. He was a three-time president of the association of resident doctors of Nigeria UATH and Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital, EBSUTH, Abakaliki, Nigeria chapters. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, ASCO, and lead investigator in UATH of the Globalsurg3 collaborative study on the quality and outcome of surgeries for breast, gastric and colon cancers. His research interest is breast cancer especially mechanisms for metastasis.


Background Breast cancer is a major health burden globally. Now ranked the number one cancer in females, and the leading cause of cancer deaths in females in our environment, outcome indices have remained poor in developing countries. Aim The aim of this study was to ascertain the major challenges to good management outcome of breast cancer patients in our centre. Patients and methods The case notes of all histologically confirmed cases of breast cancer presenting to our centre from January 2016 to December 2017 were reviewed. Information on the variables of interest were extracted using a proforma. Results Fifty-five (55) patients’ case notes were reviewed. All were females. 30.9% of the patients had early disease vs 67.3% with advanced disease. 76.4% had invasive ductal carcinoma. More lesions occurred on the left and the upper outer quadrants.46% of the 37 patients with advanced disease who required chemotherapy completed the prescribed six courses. None of the patients who required radiotherapy received it. Only 1.8% of those who required hormonal therapy were still taking them at two years follow-up. 3.6%, 11%, and 0% used alcohol, oral contraceptives and tobacco respectively. 81.8% had been lost to follow-up at two years while 14.5% had died while on admission. Conclusion This study identified late presentation with advanced disease; poor compliance and adherence to treatment strategies, and poor access to adjuvant therapy as the major challenges to good outcome for this disease.

The press will not quote speakers or delegates unless they have obtained their approval in writing. Requesting an Invitation Letter

For security purposes, letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who had registered for the conference after payment of complete registration fee. Once registration is complete, please contact to request for a personalized letter of invitation, if not received until one month before the scheduled date of the event. All the bank charges applicable during refund will be deducted from the account of the participant.

If due to any reason, Allied academies postpone an event on the scheduled date, the participant is eligible for a credit of 100% of the registration fee paid. This credit shall only be used for another event organized by Allied academies within a period of one year from the date of rescheduling. 

Postponement of event

If due to any reason, Allied academies postpone an event and the participant is unable or unwilling to attend the conference on rescheduled dates, he/she is eligible for a credit of 100% of the registration fee paid. This credit shall only be used for another event organized by Allied academies within a period of one year from the date of rescheduling.

Transfer of registration

All registrations, after payment of complete registration fee, are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if in case the person is unable to attend the event. Request for transfer of registration must be made by the registered person in writing to Details must include the full name of the replaced new registrant, their title, contact phone number, and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied academies if the person is unable to attend one of the conferences.

However, Registration cannot be transferred if intimated within 20 days of the respective conference.

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information:

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

Allied academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues are not covered under the cancellation policy of Allied academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

Refund Policy:

If the registrant is unable to attend and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund policies apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overhead charges, following Refund Policy Orders are available:

  • Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund after deduction of $100 towards service Fee.
  • Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund
  • Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund
  • E-Poster Payments will not be refunded.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy:

Accommodation Service Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies which are applicable when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. If in case the registrant wishes to cancel or amend the accommodation, he/ she is expected to inform the organizing authorities on a prior basis. Allied academies will advise the registrant to ensure complete awareness about the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancellation or modification of their booking.

Authorization Policy

Online Registration:

To register online, please get authorization from your respective bank for Online International Transactions after that you can proceed for online transactions.

Offline Registration:

To register offline kindly mail us on with your participation interest as Speaker or Delegate and accommodation required (yes/no) with total nights, we will provide you the Invoice for the wire transfer (bank to bank).

Soon after the Payment send us the bank receipt to confirm your registration offline.

On-Spot Registration:

You may register on-spot at the venue on the registration desk directly.

On-spot we won't give any kind of discounts or packages. For Letter of Invitation, you need to Register with $200 (Token amount) to confirm your participation remaining amount you have to pay on-spot.
